Thank you Spiderman for bringing these two together! Keeping their relationship low key is an understatement lol. They did a good job keeping it a secret for so many years, but I always suspected they were together. So it was great to finally get the confirmation when they were caught kissing in the car lol.

Following the poor box office performance of The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and the deal that was struck between Marvel Studios and Sony, it was time to say hello to a new Spider-Man. With Garfield's story having been closed, Tom Holland's Peter represented a chance to do something completely different. As a result, the creators chose to cast a much younger Peter and have his story start when he was 15-16 years old. Joining Tony Stark in Captain America: Civil War, Peter's true origin would be told alongside the events of The Infinity Saga. His trilogy would also spend time with Peter in High School as he learned to escape the shadow of Tony Stark and eventually learn to be his own hero. That said, in typical Spider-Man fashion, it wouldn't be done without a massive sacrifice from Peter when the world forgot who he was.

Tom Holland's portrayal of Spider-Man may be the most explored iteration of the character due to the audience having watched him grow from a young teenager into a young adult. In that time, it also allowed for the character to get more comfortable with quips and learn from mentors, something past iterations could never do. But as Peter, Holland managed to balance his awkward side with his interest in science and push to do what's right. That said, while he was incredibly well-rounded, Peter being handed so much from the likes of Tony Stark, such as his spider armor, made it seem like he would be the next Iron Man. As a result, it put him at odds with many as much of his trilogy was spent with him having cool gadgets and him only being brought to basics at the end of No Way Home.

I was always glad they went with a younger Spiderman and we saw more of him in high school. It was annoying to see him graduate so quickly and go to college, so I'm glad they went in a different direction. It's also been great to see him grow and come into his own hero. I can't wait to see more!
