I like that they didn't give much away and that we technically have no idea what this movie will be. All I got from the teaser was Newt got a box full of magical creatures and something got away. I AM FREAKING OUT UNTIL NOVEMBER 2016. Also can I just say that Newt is such a dork and a Hufflepuff that I love him already?

There's a book for this but it's more of a reference material about the magical creatures in the HP universe so the storyline will be something new and which Jo specifically wrote for the movie.
