I really liked this season! I never really watched the original cause I was only a child at the time and moving around a lot; so I only got to see brief episodes from time to time.

I'll leave that for someone that can do the special kind of art graphics.

What episodes did you like last season? I really liked the pilot; Glory; Robert Harrington; the British guy one; the election rapist dude, Elijah; and Lifeline, which was the one with the girl in France that Robyn was helping.

Your Welcome :)

What episodes did you like last season? Also; did you see the original series from 1985 to 1989?

My Kind Of Crazy 06-04-2021 07:37 PM

I didnt know there was an original tv show. I only knew of the movie with Denzel Washington

bwm30 06-05-2021 04:07 AM

^Yeah; there was! I mentioned episodes in my last post on the subject because when has a movie had episodes, right  :) The movies followed loosely along the lines of the original series.

Anyways; it was great; but because I was only like 5, 6, 7 years old and living in Europe at the time (my dad was in the military); I only saw it briefly. In that briefness; cause I was so little, I can't remember if I saw full episodes or only fragments cause as we know as children; we didn't understand many things growing up. As such; I only have a faint memory of the original. Watching this version is helping me recapture and see a newer version of what I possibly saw as a kid.

My Kind Of Crazy 06-05-2021 09:24 AM

thats interesting. I wonder if the original is available anywhere to watch

bwm30 06-05-2021 07:51 PM

^Not that I saw!

In the original! Mccall published a weekly classified newspaper ad saying he could help, with number to call. I never thought of it growing up; but now that I think about it with the new series; I think a classified ad was the internet of the day 20 and 30 years ago. Now; classifieds are becoming a relic; but I hope its not the same for newspapers in general. We still need them even with them being published online.

My Kind Of Crazy 06-06-2021 09:01 AM

I agree

Donna K. 06-06-2021 10:03 AM

I did watch the original.

I can't choose 1 episode over another. I liked them all.

Do you see any other differences between the two series?

Donna K. 06-08-2021 07:05 AM

Some, but in a lot of ways it has a lot of the same things in them.

In the pilot episode; the scene between Robyn and Delilah in the car at the centre brought back a memory on me. So I have to ask; was there a similar scene in the original with Mccall and his son, but maybe under a different circumstance for the son? It might've been in its pilot or a later episode if there was one.
