Audrey definitely sang that song in Breakfast At Tiffanys but there have been stories for years that she had voiceovers in My Fair Lady. many people wanted a singer in MFL, but the producers wanted an actress first, so Audrey won the role over many others. she was always known for her acting and unique look, not any sort of musical talent, and she says so in several interviews. i thought her singing voice was great in Breakfast At Tiffanys.

love the gifs!
i thought her best leading men, were Gregory Peck in her first film Roman Holiday (first major acting role, she was in small appearances from 1948-1952), Peter O'Toole in How To Steal A Million, and Cary Grant in Charade. i was never sold on George Peppard in BAT, because he always seemed like a deer caught in the headlights of The Audrey Hepburn Show, total fish out of water. Audrey pointed, and he said 'yes ma'am!' he didn't seem to have the comic timing of other leading men. Audrey is always the proverbial 800lb gorilla in the room, so you gotta bring your own act to the show to counter her, and George always seemed out of sorts. __________________

Oh yes, Peck and Grant were probably my favorite leading men of hers. Can't forget about Fred Astaire!!! She wanted to do a movie with him!!!
I think if Audrey gets a board, we should have 1 thread dedicated to old hollywood Audrey had a crush on Peck |
