The Night's Watch #1: There's no greater loyalty than this.

"Night gathers, and now my watch begins.
It shall not end until my death.
I shall take no wife, hold no lands, father no children.
I shall wear no crowns and win no glory.
I shall live and die at my post.
I am the sword in the darkness.
I am the watcher on the walls.
I am the shield that guards the realms of men.
I pledge my life and honor to the Night's Watch,
for this night and all the nights to come."

Ohh the night's watch really was a huge part of Jon's life.... I'll miss having him there, but at the same time I'm glad that his watch is over :D

It was a huge part of his life for sure. I like him to be able to interact with more people though so I am glad he is not longer a part of it.

Same. Early on I was rooting for them. They seem to be honorable blokes. But then all the power play and them conspiring to kill Jon? :nono:

Si_Crazy 11-16-2017 06:30 AM

I was worried about how Jon would leave the Night's Watch without breaking his vow (because it would be OOC if he just decided to leave), and after what they conspired and did, I think it was fitting that he left

One Thing Remains 11-16-2017 08:51 AM

yes I agree. Besides he vowed to stay until death and he did. I feel like his vow expired with his death regardless of whether or not he was resurrected.

Si_Crazy 11-17-2017 03:04 AM

Exactly!! I feel that way too, he pledge to give his life and he did, so that worked for me as him not breaking his vows :)

Exactly. The minute he died, that explains that he's no longer tied to his vow as a Night Watch. So when he came back to life, I wanted him to kill all those traitors.

Yeah, having him kill the 4 that really rally up the mutiny was priceless, but still there were a lot more people involved that got away free

What could have been if they all remained loyal to Jon though... :sigh:

Si_Crazy 11-23-2017 05:38 AM

He could've been the best Lord commander in history

I had high hopes for these lads but UGH. It all went to hell the minute they all turned on Jon. :sigh:

Si_Crazy 11-24-2017 06:57 PM

^ so true  So disappointing that they betrayed him
