Very surprising to see. If it came from a less credible source, I wouldn't have believed this.

I have mixed feelings. It's all too soon. We are all still reeling with the GoT ending and I don't want any prequels anymore. I do understand why he said yes. If it was someone else playing Jon, it would feel wrong. Anyway, it's still in development so nothing is final yet.

I'm sure he got a good offer, and I'm assuming he's going to do more than act in it.

Honestly, the reaction to GoT's ending is of its time. I think future audiences who binge it won't notice or care about it. In the long run, the franchise will be fine, and Kit is probably being smart to keep Jon Snow going.

I am surprised with that news, just like Pia said, I wouldn't have even believe that was a possibility if it came from other medias

I don't really know what to feel about it... Of course I'm excited because of Kit and I love JOn, so the possibility of seeing him again is cool. But I'm a bit afraid that with the new show it could sort of ruin Jon for me depending on how it's done

And I hope D&D stays far away from it too. We need new writers.

It's funny though, Kit did say that he'll most likely end up missing the show and Jon soon. I didn't think that soon is now. He'll always be Jon to me and I love that he said yes to it.

Oh yeah.. please, no more D&D in the GOT universe...

Yeah, it wouldn't make sense if there was another person playing Jon, so I'm glad that Kit is interested in replaying the role

Eh, I would bet everything the D's are involved in the prequels and will be somewhat involved in this one too. We just won't see their names. But I can't imagine they aren't being consulted.

HBO's response:

I thought this piece on it made some interesting points:

The Game of Thrones Finale Shot That Could Set Up Jon Snow Series

LOL on that tweet.

Thanks for that article link.

Quote:
When the implications are considered, a series about Jon Snow at the turning of this tide in Westerosi history and culture could promise something entirely original. Unlike House of the Dragon, which returns to the familiar sight of scheming courtiers in King’s Landing and (eventually) armies decimated by dragonfire, a series set in a Westeros without the Wall, without the existential threat of White Walkers, and without the shadow of the Targaryens looming over every decision could strike an entirely different chord. If the end of Game of Thrones is about renewal—renewal of the Starks’ legacy, a renewal of civic mindedness from rulers, and the literal renewal of spring—could there even be room for a story where Westeros finally leaves its long, long medieval system and reaches toward its own version of the renaissance?
Robert's rebellion would be a good story to do but since this is a sequel (sorry I keep saying prequel), then this story is entirely new?

Yes, if this goes through it would be a new story set in the ASOIAF future.

Then that means we'd have some chance of seeing the other Starks too like Arya and Sansa? And then how about Tormund? Or will this depend on the timeline of this supposed sequel so some characters probably would be dead....

Emilia revealed more in her latest interview:

Quote:
And in response to a story in The Hollywood Reporter that Kit Harington will reprise his role as Jon Snow in a Game of Thrones sequel, Clarke says: "He has told me about it. And I know it exists. It's happening."

Then, perhaps realising she may have said more than she should have, she adds: "It's been created by Kit as far as I can understand, so he's in it from the ground up. So what you will be watching, hopefully, if it happens, is certified by Kit Harington."

Which raises the question - would she ever consider appearing in a spin-off to Game of Thrones, or is she done with dragons?

"No, I think I'm done," she says firmly and laughs. Emilia Clarke is ready to move on.

Thanks for the news and the picture.

From in an interview with Gwendoline:

Quote:
Newsweek made a point of asking if any prospective return as Brienne could involve the rumored Kit Harington-led Jon Snow spinoff.

Christie laughed, "I mean..." she laughed again. "Maybe. Maybe."

Gwendoline Christie Would 'Relish' Return as Brienne Amid Jon Snow Spinoff

Love the picture

Ohh I would love to see Brienne again... although don't know how she would fit in a Jon series
