Exactly. It's possible that he didn't watch but it's also possible that he's lying. He knows some of the stuff that happened for sure but lying about it (if he did watch) saves him having to answer all those questions after the finale aired which is, like you said, clever of him.

I prefer that he just keeps saying that he hasn't watched... because even though we all hated the last 2 seasons, it's always bad when an actor badmouth their own show.
