Exactly. I was so ready for Jon to die and tbh I thought Dany was gonna live and she was gonna rule. It seems to me that will be an ending that at least everyone can accept.

I didn't want Dany to ended up ruling, but I didn't see her dying like that. I honestly have no idea how I wanted her ending to be in the show

I only wanted Dany to rule because a large part of the fandom would be okay with that. Dany dying in the end is something also probable given the progression of her SL. But Jon killing her was a bit much.

^ I agree I actually think that had the writers done Dany's SL slower in the end, her turning mad wasn't such an unbelievable thing, made sense to me, just happened so fast that it was all weird.
But yeah, having Jon killing her was way too melodramatic and not in an emotional way (specially since they still didn't seem to have that big of a connection as lovers )

It did happen too fast. They squeezed in all they can of Dany's SL for that last 2 seasons. I can argue that she was nearer to the throne so she was definitely feeling more powerful than ever but it was not really developed too well and it all felt flat to me and anticlimactic when she died.

I hated her death.... I wasn't surprised, nor shocked... it was something that I watched and was like "that was it?!"

Exactly! And even though it was clear that Jon did that because of what Arya and Tyrion told him, it still felt like he was defending her one minute and then all of a sudden there he was stabbing her... it just felt off

Precisely. It was inevitable and predictable the way the build-up was getting on. It was really disappointing.

I did enjoy the first 3 eps but after the WWs/NK was defeated, it just went downhill for me.

^ I agree I think the NK should've been the last enemy to be fought and not having them kill him in the middle of the season

It got anticlimactic after that. And to me, they were the villains of the show. Sure Cersei too but it was more difficult to defeat the WWs/NK. At least that was what I thought because in S8, they were already defeated by the 3rd ep.

I felt the same way...even though the show was about politics, the main thread has always been the WW... the first scene of the show was of them attacking those Night Watch riders, it was expected that they would be the last one defeated

And that too. The first scene of the show already showed us who the real villains are on the show. Cersei was a villain in the sense that she wanted to sit on the Throne. The WWs/NK were more of a thread because they were everyone's villains, even Cersei.
