And I was expecting Jon's character to go out on a high note. Imo, he's one of the best characters in both the books and the show.

I think I was drawn to him the most because he was the odd one out. His life wasn't as good as the others and he was a bastard. So I was rooting for him the most.

Not all. Some fans don't like the underdog because all they do is whine and be miserable (which imo they have a reason to).

They're also painted as a victim of tragic circumstances so it's easy to say that they have a reason to complain because of that. And I agree with that but what sets Jon & Tyrion apart from those other "victims" is that they didn't sit around and whine and complain all the time. Jon joined the Night's Watch because he wanted to be useful since he's a bastard and therefore there's nothing in it for him. Same with Tyrion. Because he's a dwarf, people (especially his family) make fun of him but instead of sitting around feeling sorry for himself, he proved all of them wrong and was eventually hand of Dany. Those are the kind of arcs that I absolutely love.
I don't like arcs where the character is handed a sliver platter and he or she doesn't have to work hard for it. Life is hard so show me that.__________________
