His character definitely evolved. I went from not caring about him to him being one of my fave characters. I'm glad he lived even though at the start of S8, I thought he was gonna die.

I was almost sure he would die too I am happy that he survived!! I wished he had had a chance with Brienne.... he was such a cute puppy in love

Clearly he would never had a chance with Brienne, but it was endearing to see how fascinated he was for her, and the characteristics he liked in her was exactly what she was bullied for when she was younger, so it would've been nice if she had realized that
