TFTNT! I like the thread title.
 I know when I was watching the earlier seasons, I'd always look for Ghost when he wasn't around. So when he pops up, I am thrilled.  __________________

 Same!! Right in the beginning I really thought the direwolves would've had a lot of meaning and importance in the show, like the dragons, so I was always looking forward to see them (as I used to think they would be present more)__________________

The fact that they were on the show, I too was hoping they'd be there and will have a presence as well. But even Ghost, who got the most airtime, was MIA all the time.
