ITA about the part related to heart attack being uncontrollable while MoS’s version like said Clark could have saved Jonathon so the same effect wasn’t felt

Yeah and as much as I slam Clark from Smallville, Clark never would have stood there and watch Jonathan die if he could have prevented it. I just don't buy it. |

I would have preferred the option where things were out of Clark's control, because it's a lot easier for the audience to digest. Psychology wise, the movie built up well to why he didn't, but I wish the movie didn't go in that direction. It's definitely a preference, but I would have like Jon to just get a heart attack. Then again, the movie played on Clark's emotions in a way that I could analyze in relation to his future and the effects from that happening, but I know that's subtle and not readily explainable.

Correct cause both Reeves' and SV with the heartattack ha it that Clark couldn't do anything about it there was no way he could have stopped it
So MoS's version kina "taints" the character cause seriously there would be no way that Clark that we know and love would have just stood there __________________

Psychologically, it made sense to me. It didn't mean I liked the choice the writers chose though, because it causes this kind of reaction out of the audience. It makes the audience feel and understand more from Clark's perspective the devastation of having his father's death out of his hands if it's a heart attack. It's a lot more complicated since they chose to do something a lot more complex. Did not work well for those who watched the movie, it's definitely a consensus.

The heart attack makes "Psychologically" sense or speaking of the twister?

I meant that from what we saw through scenes and development at the beginning of the movie, I can, from a psychological standpoint, understand why Clark didn't go out and use his powers to save his dad when there were a lot of other people around. However, as a general audience, it's more digestible to have something like a hard attack since Clark could have saved him when it came to the twister (no matter the reasons) while he could not have if his father had a heart attack, which is why I would have preferred a heart attack or something that could not be changed by another person. It just would have been easier.
