Also, his daughter had committed suicide in post production and Zack has to step away before reshoots....WB hired Josh to finish what Synder had filmed but really re wrote most of the film and made it more lighter. It didn't work.

Director's Guild of America regulations poke massive holes in the narrative that Warner Bros. fired Snyder because they weren't happy with him and brought in Whedon to 'fix' things, because if it were true, it yielded them nothing due to the fact that Snyder had fully completed Principal Photography on the film.

Under DGA regs, studios must legally respect directors' contributions to a film unless they (the studio) opt to fire said director(s) before 90% of Principal Photography has been completed, or unless the director(s) in question agree(s) through arbitration to allow a studio to remove their directorial credit.

If Warner Bros. were unhappy with Snyder and his vision of the DCEU, they would have had to have replaced him at some point between April and October of 2016, not May of 2017.

The Theatrical release of JL did end up being different than what Snyder had been going for, but that does not mean that he was fired, nor does it mean that Warner Bros. was unhappy with him.

We don't need to know exactly what happened behind-the-scenes to know what DGA's regulations regarding the replacement of a director or directors are and how they apply to Justice League because said regulations are readily available on the. DGA's website and we have a documentable timeline of events for JL's production.

We learned about what studios can and can't do as per DGA regulations, BTW, because of the situation that arose with Solo.

^ Knowing the exact details of what happened behind-the-scenes on JL would provide contextual clarity, but what we can read regarding DGA regs helps in determining the truth of things based on what scant details we do have, since DGA regs explicitly prevent a lot of the things that have been claimed re: Snyder's departure and Whedon's hiring and handling of reshoots.
