Well it's the travel to get to the theme park, then the fee to get into the park and the cost of each ride. It can get crazy. And that's not including the ridiculous amount of $ you're charged for food/drinks.

Right, though there is exceptions, some parks have just a rather expensive entrance fee, but then all rides are free and you can use them as often as you want.

^^^Yeah, like Kings Island! I've always went there and usually get a season pass every year, but usually you just pay to get in. The rides and shows are free, you just pay for food obviously. I personally think State Fairs are ridiculous, how you have to pay to get on each of those raggedy ass rides, to see those fake shows, play those rigged games, etc. It's great when your a kid, but last time I went to a fair I thought it was a bunch of bs lol. The nostalgia was there, but not as nice as when I went when I was a kid and didn't know any better. That's why I'll always prefer amusements parks like Kings Island lol.

State fairs don't even exist where I live. Mostly we just have amusement/theme parks. There is small town fairs though, but they usually have like 3-4 rides and that's it.
