Batgirl won’t be flying onto HBO Max screens, but a select group of insiders is getting to see the film during secret screenings on the Warner Bros. lot this week, multiple sources tell The Hollywood Reporter. They are said to be for people who worked on the movie, both cast and crew, as well as representatives and executives.

One source described them as “funeral screenings,” held before the film is sent off to an undisclosed afterlife, with footage locked away in a vault, either physical or digital.

You feel for the actors, who were getting their first big movie break. only to see that ,The powers to be have decided not to release the movie.

This is dumb as hell, just release the Batgirl film. They are going through more to not show it. The DCU is also having their own funeral right before our eyes, idiots.

Bc if they do they have to pay certain taxes, they think it won't make enough money so they rather waste those 90mio$ for the production than releasing it and pay those taxes on top of it, but honestly that logic seems flawed.

It will always be dumbass logic to me. If you paid all that money and got all those actors to do all that work, and your finished? Uh, release that damn film and see if you get the money back. They just instantly gave up and wasted EVERYONE'S time, weak idiots.
