So Edgar's Ant-Man was never meant for MCU inclusion and had nothing to do with the Avengers. Marvel didn't cut Hank and Janet out of the Avengers movies because they thought it would make the movies any better, they did it to accommodate Edgar due to stupid Hollywood studio politics and behind-the-scenes agreements that have nothing to do with storytelling. But Edgar's script didn't work in the MCU(big surprise) and he ended up quitting, which is why this whole situation was so stupid and unnecessary. And they'd better fix things because they can't keep Hank and Janet as old people in the MCU forever because they're not old in the comics. And when you have 50 years of Avengers stories with Hank and Janet, how are you supposed to keep them out of the Avengers movies indefinitely? Do you really want movie audiences to only remember Hope Van Dyne, a character who doesn't even exist in the comics, as The Wasp, when Janet is the ONLY Wasp comic book fans have been reading about in the Avengers comics for the last 50 years? When I said that Janet Van Dyne is as important to the Avengers as Diana Prince's Wonder Woman is to the Justice League, that's not an exaggeration. And if you've seen what the comics have done to Hank Pym recently just to get him out of the way because of the MCU, you'd be infuriated as well. They can't just keep the MCU like this because of one mistake. Hi, Jen! Thanks for understanding.

Thanks for the tips my dog might have other issues but atm we are focusing on her diabetes and making it say for her to navigate in our house .

Back to antman see I didn't know they did the script that long ago .. Wow that was years ago .. but how long was the contract in place for ? I mean antman was made what 3 years ago they couldn't fix the script than ?

You know why they're doing it, Matt. They need to keep Hank and Janet out of the Avengers comics while the MCU has them as old people who aren't in the Avengers and has Scott and Hope as Ant-Man and Wasp. Heaven forbid we confuse movie audiences with a discrepancy like a young Hank and Janet in the Avengers comics but an old Hank and Janet in the movies who aren't in the Avengers. Yes, Edgar's script was written years before the MCU even existed, back in the days when superhero movies were stand alone films and there were no shared universes in cinema. And I guess when Marvel bought back the rights to the character, Edgar's script got "grandfathered" into the MCU, which I think is stupid because if you're making a shared universe where the Avengers exist, each movie has to be compatible with that storyline, and Edgar's Ant-Man was not. That's why Scott and Hope hardly have anything to do with the Avengers storyline in the MCU. That's why Hawkeye was a zombie for most of the first Avengers movie and why Black Widow has been mostly in over her head in most of these films, because they were never supposed to be there in the first place.

Joss Whedon himself said the reason he was asked to write Hank and Janet out of his Avengers scripts and replace them with Hawkeye and Black Widow was because "Edgar had him first," regarding Hank Pym. So they felt contractually obligated to accommodate Edgar, even if it meant shoehorning his script into an MCU it was never meant to be part of, and having Joss rearrange the entire Avengers storyline to account for Hank and Janet's absence. In the comics, Hank and Janet are founding Avengers, but in the MCU, it's Hawkeye and Black Widow. In the comics, Hank Pym is Ultron's creator, but in the MCU, it's Tony Stark. In the comics, Janet is the ONLY Wasp in the Avengers for the past five decades and was leader of the Avengers after Captain America. In the MCU, Janet is a minor character and Hope is the main Wasp, which is an insult considering she doesn't even exist in the comics. Hank and Janet never had children and they're both only in their 30's. And for what? Edgar quit the production because he didn't want to alter his film to fit the MCU, and Marvel admitted that his script didn't work in the MCU. The problem is, you'd think they could've figured that out just from reading his script. They didn't have to use his script, and the changes they made to the Avengers in the MCU sure didn't improve the story at all. But what's even worse is what's happening to Hank and Janet in the comics because of Marvel having to help promote the MCU... by pushing Hank and Janet aside.

So I don't blame marvel it is the silly fine line with productions and the red tape that is all behind the scenes .. Cause Josh wehdon could of put them in and they would of been a huge part of the movie .. it is a shame .

So it was all for nothing and Edgar ended up not even making an MCU movie. Even Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige said the script wasn't working and didn't fit in the MCU, so why did they even bother using it?

Yes, this is mostly just because of stupid studio politics and contractual agreements, and not about storytelling. But the fact remains that Hank and Janet are two of the founding members of the Avengers and have been in the Avengers longer than anyone, and they are the only Ant-Man and Wasp who belong in the MCU because it's their story, no one else's.
