^ You are welcomed, and I think you can pretty much guess what my Season 3 Prison Break rant is about a certain writing for a certain character...

^ Yes it is, I am disgusted by the writing he received in season 3... he literally was over there cying to Michael about how he thought he was doing a good thing by taking out the bad guys???? REALLY??? So we are suppose to forget the people he would allowed to get raped if they wouldn't agree with him.
I love Prison Break but the writing for Bellick was a poor excuse of a redemption story since it did not match his character I watched for 2 seasons when he was a pervert dirty cop but yeah let's pretend he did what he did just to take out the bad guys... Oh give me a break. Alex Mahone writing on the other hand is perfection because unlike Bellick, he actually showed remorse for his actions in season 2, he was taking pills in season 2, we saw he had a family and he was getting orders. So his season 3 story didn't just come out the blue. Bellick... it's like watching a different character this season and I ain't feeling it. |

Your rant is pretty much on point with my opinion I just also hated his whinyness of the 3rd season - than his bragging about killing that dude with the fight related to the chicken foot, he was an absolute scaried fool where during the first 1-2 seasons he was all badass annoying just horrible
I think a redeemption story never worked because they was no bases on why he should be Kellerman had his getting messed over by Caroline than he did the right thing regarding Sara and than what we saw when we saw him again in finale of 4th season Mahone's redemption made 1000% sense cause he was getting screwed over by The Company cause they had the leverage over him regarding his family plus he was an addict. One of my favorite 3rd season storylines was Mahone's struggle with withdrawal, getting more drugs than his second attempt to pulling through to becoming clean __________________

Mahone's struggle with withdrawal was really well done imo and William did such an great job throughout the whole thing too.

In season 3 they did too much of a bad drastic change. No idea how he went to being such a whinny pitiful character in season 3. lol It did not match what we watched season 1-2. That is not how you do a redemption story by stripping everything about who the character was. It really looked like his weaker doppleganger in season 3. I may not be a Kellerman fan but his story was done correctly because he never was really 100% good even when it was revealed what was going on with him and why he made some decisions he made. Definitely with you on Mahone. His made the most sense and the writers clearly spent time writing a good one for him instead of forcing something fake there and it also helps that even during season 2, we saw that he wasn't a cold blood killer, he was following orders and taking his pills and showing a little bit of guilt. So, Season 3 didn't feel so out of left field. |
