I'm not sure if he can sing either.

He plays Colin Hanks dad in it. It was an MTV made comedy movie that was really stupid, but I really enjoyed it.

^ In his SAG acceptance speech, he said he'd never cast himself to play Churchill.

That's why I was rooting for him & Claire when they both got nominated at the GGs and SAGs. I remember something Lizzy said on the campaign thread before that it's even more impressive that these actors are portraying real people so there are certain expectations of their characters since a lot of people know who Churchill & Elizabeth are. For them to be able to do their roles and be believable is quite the achievement so hopefully the Emmys recognize them both for this year.

I hadn't watched the show yet when I saw the SAG awards and I was like "John Lithgow is playing CHURCHILL? HOW???" Now I know how!
