Doing my first round. It was a VERY long night! My dog with cancer was throwing up ALL night, so we didn't get any sleep and neither did she. We thought that it was the end of the road for her. She could hardly breath, she constantly paced around and wouldn't rest. When she would lay down, she moved around a lot to try and get comfortable. She just looks and feels so bad!!! So we got her to the vet first thing, and thought they'd tell us her cancer had spread. Turns out its a severe stomach flu! So we are very much relieved she's not dying, but poor girl even after getting IV fluids and a nausea med, still won't sleep! She walks around looking like shes gonna pass out, but she's just so dang restless! She will sit there and just give us the most pitiful looks, and I wish I could help her sleep somehow! Now gotta keep my other pup from getting the flu next. I'm exhausted!

That sounds awful! When my oldest cat was little he used to have a little of stomach issues and I would give him slow, gentle massages on his belly (still do whenever he gets a stomach flu) and he would fall asleep to it maybe you can try that on your dog to help her feel better.

It helps her sleep for a few minutes for sure! But she moves so much, that even after a few minutes she's leaving where she's being pet. There isn't anything we can give her aside from benedryl either, because lots of stuff could irriate her cancer. So since we did Claritan today, which is part of her cancer meds, gonna take her off for just a day starting tomorrow so she can do benedryl and hopefully it will help her sleep!

She slept all night! We are so relieved she's finally resting. Today she's super tired, but I'm just glad she's finally sleeping. She can sleep as long as she'd like!
