Yeah, great question. It seemed like they waited to film TW after the movie like they did the first movie, and then the accident. But It's still unclear what the plan was from the beginning....

6A was planned. Not because of his accident, but because of his filming obligations with 'The Maze Runner' series

Dylan had actually filmed episodes 1 & 5 of 6A, before he even started filming for 'The Death Cure'

Unfortunately the accident happened while the rest of 6A was being filmed and it caused a huge delay in filming for 6X10

Dylan was originally supposed to be in pretty much all of 6B, but due to his horrific accident, and all of his movies being pushed back, he was no longer able to be apart of it. Luckily for us, he was adamant about coming back for the series finale

I really do apologise for that.

But yes, the most important thing is that Dylan made a full recovery and is doing great

I don't think I could ever get sick of Tyler talking about Dylan/Stiles and Sterek

He always has the nicest things to say

I love the different fandoms things I've seen just from that scene alone. ~~Lucky~~ Poor Liam had to deal with Sterek for hours.
