Hello everyone. I have been contemplating this for a while and I think it may be time to close the board. Our post counts have been declining over the past few months and we have very few regular posters. As you know, Fan Forum requires that we average at least 12 posts per day, with lower numbers than that leading to warnings and then possible closure of the board. I would prefer to go out under our own terms rather than be forced to close due to low post counts.

I'll gladly hear any suggestions or advice to renew interest here. Remember that to keep the board going, we'll need the commitment of a few regular, dedicated posters. As much as we all love this board, please don't just post to "save" the board and then disappear again, because we'll be in the same position that we're in now if you do.

This is not something I wanted to do but I have been thinking about this for a long time, last year even. I really do love having this board around which is why I've been putting it off but with the show having ending over a year ago and with so few posters I think it's time to discuss it. If you guys want to keep this board open I'm all for it and will even continue posting but I've noticed that all of us have been very busy lately. On a personal level I start a new job soon as well so I may have even less time. This board is awesome and I would be sad to see it go but I would rather we decide on this together instead of becoming one of those boards that struggle to meet the post counts. Let me know what you guys think.

These posts are always so sad & hard to read, but also, understandable, unfortunately. I am ALL for keeping the board open, but can totally understand if it’s too much of a task for you, Kay. It’s always hard keeping past TV show boards open. Trust me, I know. But sometimes, it just has to be.

Whatever you end up deciding to do, Kay, I totally & fully support. I will be here for you & the board for as much as I can!

I know a lot of it has to do with me in school and how slow FF has been all this month . If FF is at regular speed like it is now, we should be okay!

You’re not just to blame, Norman!

It really is hard to keep a board going with just 2-3 regular posters. But I’m willing to try, if y’all are! We could give it another 6 months. That will get us to at least a 2 year celebration, and possibly a 50K posts celebration.

Those are my thoughts/opinions!

Understandable, Heather! You’re helping out just by posting in Emily’s thread, though! I sometimes only post in one or two threads on certain boards. Sometimes, that’s all the time you have for.
