Hi everyone :wave:,

The Fan Forum Graphics Team is in the process of (re)customising message boards and now it's your turn!

If you have any picture or colour suggestions please post them in this thread. Don't post (hotlink) the pictures, links to them are fine. Make sure that the pictures are of as high quality as possible and that the top of the head of the person in the picture isn't cropped off. We also like to use photoshoot images when possible, preferably individual pictures of each cast member. When suggesting colours please keep in mind that some colours will work better than others. The Team usually tries to avoid really vibrant and dark colours because we have found in the past that they are hard to look at for long periods of time. If you would like some help coming up with colour combinations we recommend checking out the design seeds website.

Everyone is encouraged to voice their opinions for this as you are the ones who will be posting on the board and we hope to make as many people happy with the finished result as possible. It does not matter if you are a board moderator, regular poster, or casual poster here. If you have a suggestion, please share it here with us :).

Your suggestions for possible pictures and colours will be taken into serious consideration, but in the interest of seeing every board receive the best customised look possible the final decision concerning how this board will be customised will be made by the members of the Graphics Team. This is because we want to make sure that the selected graphic and colours fit into the overall design scheme that we've established for Fan Forum.

For a full explanation of the message board customisation process, see this thread. If you have any questions, please feel free to send Rae or Mel a PM or ask the Team on the message board customisation thread.

Please leave this topped until a week or so after the board has been (re)customised.

Note: It usually takes less than two weeks for us to finish making the new banner and the sooner we know what you want, the more we can work on it (though it can take a few months or so to set it up with the new colours on the board), so please let us know your suggestions as soon as possible.

When the Team have made and voted on a winning graphic I will close this thread until the graphic and colours get put up. It will then be re-opened so that you can share your thoughts about it.

I have a few thoughts so I'm gonna try and gather all the pics and ideas I have in mind first. I can't wait to see everyone's ideas on this thread. :D

Probably because the board hasn't been opened for very long... :shrug:

But why would it have to wait? I promise that I am not cruel :lol:. The only thing new boards need to wait for is to become permanent and then after that they become eligible to start the customisation process. Ideally boards will only wait a couple of weeks after that point before we get to them. There is no reason for them to sit around with no colours or not even have us start looking at giving them colours for ages, they just need to pass the three month trial period :).

Who are the main characters who need to be included in the graphic?

I'm not sure why I thought we would have to wait a long time for customization really. It just seems like some boards have to wait forever until they go through it but maybe I'm just really impatient and it just feels that way. :lol: We definitely don't think you're cruel. :lol:

I can post solo pics of everyone tonight but definitely at least those cast members.

How does everyone feel about shades of orange for the board? I wasn't sure at first but the show uses it a lot in its promo art and the design seeds site has some nice shades, especially if we go lighter. https://www.design-seeds.com/tag/orange/

It could have been in the past when we were not as caught up as we are now too so it was closer to forever to wait ;).

Individual pictures would be appreciated when you have the time :). If not we could probably find them ourselves on that site but it is better if you do it as then we will know we have the right people.

Orange (and reds) can be harsh on the eyes so it is preferable to use it minimally and only in certain (less harsh) shades. I would recommend orange mixed with other colours or sticking to more burnt orange and pale orange shades. Looking at some of the promotional pictures which have the oranges it looks like they use more burnt oranges so that should be good if you wanted to match that. If you wanted just oranges something like this may be okay but I would still recommend throwing in other colours. It is up to you though how you feel about an orange customisation :). I saw some blues in the promotional pictures too so this colour scheme jumped out at me as well. If you wanted to go with a different colour with orange highlights that is. Otherwise I also found this which has blues, browns, and burnt orange in it which could look quite nice :shrug:. I know nothing of the show so I have no idea if those colour schemes would fit or be something you would like.

Whatever it was I'm just happy that our board is getting customized. :yay:

Damn. Red was my second choice. :lol: If it still works and other posters prefer it or the the graphic team think it would work better I also like this scheme with blue and red. It could work since the pics I posted have a decent amount of those colours. So maybe a mostly blue board with some red highlights? Or that second scheme you posted for orange highlights. I also like that sweet tones scheme you posted a lot so I think it might look nice as well if we did that with some blue. The show does use burnt orange more but personally I prefer a paler orange and paler colours in general.

Is there another site to download the pictures from, I keep getting the Adblock block from viewing the pictures even when I desactivate it, restart the computer and all...?

That's weird, it's just the spoilertv website. I'm not really sure of anywhere else you can find the promo pics in HQ but I could upload those pics somewhere else if it would help, just might not be able to do that right away.

That colour scheme should be usable :nod:.

Eme can you access the spoiler TV gallery at all? If so then you should be able to find the show and then the pictures. If not then I would recommend looking at doing something for another board or wait until someone can upload them for you. I may be able to do it on the weekend and PM you the pictures if no one else has and you do want to do this board.

That's good to hear. I think it might look the best since the cast is wearing a lot of blue and red in the promo pics.

This site seems to have the pictures in HQ too.
