Alyssa was probably one of the few that actually tried, but her front line were just not good. Broon couldn't keep dunn/Ohara in line. Abby was alright, but second half I was sure she was heading towards a card.
Yeah 10 goals for the Netherlands is great, Buuut have to remember Zambia are ranked like 100th. But I had so much respect for their players, they kept going the whole time didn't turn dirty cause they were losing. And 100% their keeper was giving each save her best even if they went in. It would have been much higher. Zambia definitely deserve their spot, I always remember last wwc where Cameroon basically acted so unsporting because they were losing. The bad thing is say USA finish 2nd in their group and netherlands keep the top spot, that means they meet, and if USA get it together I don't want my girls going out :lol: |

What did Cameroon not do. Spat on Toni Duggan, dirty tackled Houghton and near broke her leg. Threatening not to finish the England game. Then in the Dutch game Merel van dongen offered one player a water bottle and she threw it back at her, just barely missed her. Sarina hand to hold Dvd back from fighting her :lol:
I've seen loads of American sports journalists saying the USA might have lost but at least they didn't lose like Zambia... And I'm like really that comparison |

It's funny cause I saw loads of journalists going into this saying obviously that the USA were favourites to win. But I saw some comments about how team gb were undefeated in the past few years... And I'm like they're a made up team for the Olympics, I just feel that's when you know it's an uswnt journalist who hasn't looked past the water. I also saw stuff about how the Netherlands weren't in the top 3 to win this, and I'm like excuse me they are the European champions and wwc finalists, but okay.
Sweden got no mentions of winning up until this match. When it goes by fifa rankings its anyone race really. I mean off the back of that Australia are better than Spain :lol: But I would say now the leaders are Sweden, netherlands, Brazil. But if the USA beat Australia and New Zealand they go through anyway, so the first match doesn't really matter |

Just on the subject of uswnt. Rapineo said that she did cbd as part of her training, and yet allowed to compete... Yet a black female athlete got thrown out... Just screams double standard. |

^Allison, I wasn't. I was only in like 5th or 6th grade during that time, didn't even know what the Olympics/World Cup were :lol: Sadly, I didn't start following the US until right before the 2012 Olympics.
