N.F.L. Pick the Winners Week 8 thread (deadline Thursday, October 28th @ 8:20 P.M.)
Welcome to the 22nd season of the NFL "Pick the Winners" game here at the sports board! For those who have played this game before, you know how the drill goes. If you are knew to the game it's pretty simple. During each week of the season, there will be a thread posted with that week's slate of games. It is your job to pick the winner of each match-up and place a point value on it. This week there are 16 games on the schedule. You would allocate your poi ts from the game you are most confident in (16 pts.) to the game you view as a toss up (1 PT.) * You may not place the same point value on more than 1 game. It should be decreasing value from 16 to 1*
At the conclusion of each week, we will add up the total points, and crown a "Pick The Winners" champion. Over the course of the season, we will keep a list of the weekly champions & a running points total and/or most weekly championships will be crowned the season winner. Sounds pretty simple right? So join in! If you have any questions feel free to ask them here. Remember you must have your picks in by the posted deadline listed, so make sure to double-check to make sure you are correct before then. Also, once the deadline passes, your picks are locked in. Really important to get picks in before the deadline each week the entire season , as the NFL expanded the Thursday Night schedule to almost the entire season. If you miss Thursdays deadline or double pick the same game, only that pick will not count. Again, double-check your picks to make sure that you have all the teams you want to pick & the numbers 1 to 16. 2021 Overall Standings: NOLA504: 617 pts (70-37) Hot Rod: 608 pts (69-38) Ms Cyatt: 602 pts (67-39) The Survivor: 600 pts (76-31) Logan: 591 pts (65-41) canflam: 572 pts (58-49) Week 8 Schedule: Thursday, October 28th Green Bay @ Arizona 8:20 P.M. I was not expecting the Cardinals offence to struggle as much that they have in this game vs. Green Bay. 7 points that they scored in 35 minutes of gametime.

Arizona was on the verge of tying the game or winning at the last minute , Green Bay couldn’t get the ball the end zone from the 1 yard line .. Arizona gets interception in the Endzone with 30 seconds left… Packers

Murray did not play well in that game & he could have ended it on a high note if not throwing the ball to A.J. Green while he wasn't even looking for it. Odd. Brutal injuries also in this game. Murray got injured late.

Here's more on that: Ugly injuries mar Packers-Cardinals clash, renew concerns about kickoff safety
Thursday's NFC showdown between the Arizona Cardinals and Green Bay Packers had more than its share of injuries, with one renewing longstanding concerns about the safety of kickoffs. The Cardinals kicked off to the Packers midway through the third quarter after a James Conner touchdown cut Green Bay's lead to 17-14. Green Bay returner Kylin Hill fielded the ball in the end zone and sprinted straight forward to the 10-yard line, where he was met by Cardinals coverage man Jonathan Ward. Ward lowered his helmet and ran head-first directly into Hill's left leg. Ward's head snapped back, and Hill fell to the turf in pain. Carts drove on to the field for both players. Ward required a stretcher. Hill sat up as the cart drove him toward the Packers locker room. Green Bay ruled him out almost immediately with a knee injury. That injury will keep Hill out for the entire season, according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network. https://sports.yahoo.com/ugly-injuri...031644838.html __________________
