Way to go Osaka! OK. I did see some of what happened & after watching the news people really are upset about how this official treated Serena Williams, but from what I understand he did everything by the book. Now I did not know that many coaches try to coach or give hand signals or whatever, but I did find it interesting that Serena Williams said she doesn't cheat as if there is a group of WTA players that do cheat in their matches. If so then let me know who you think these players are.
Now though I'm not a fan of Serena Williams I do understand why she was upset though if that was me I think I'd try to keep my temper under control. If people do think sexism was involved then good ways to prevent situations like yesterday is either not have men officiate women's tennis matches on the WTA tour or just have technology replace officials altogether. Anway, congrats to Osaka for become the 1st man or women to win a grand slam title in pro tennis. __________________

Thanks for the pictures and updates, Rod.
 Ya'll know I have nothing good to say about Serena (although I will not deny her talent, which is incredible) and her behavior on Sunday did NOTHING to help that at all. __________________

I am so proud of Nole! He played incredible, no one would have beat him. Delpo played well, so I am pleased how welll he did this two weeks.
As for the Serena thing, her coach Patrick is renown for illegal coaching. He knows he caused her meltdown but how she reacted, how she spoke to umpire Carlos Ramos is inexcusable. Congrats to Naomi who played amazingly and kept her cool. __________________

I saw the women's final and the umpire did everything correctly. I wish all umpires were strong enough to do that!
Serena Williams behaved appallingly and was lucky not to have been defaulted. It's very easy for people to blame sexism but there is no proof that that particular umpire wouldn't have punished a man in the same way. I saw a replay of her coach Patrick doing hand signals so that is what the umpire must have seen. Serena should have checked with her coach before blaming the umpire.
