Marlins got a run in the 2nd inning. :( Syndergaard still looks shaky on the mound with the Phillies. I'm starting to question Dombrowski's decision to sign him. They needed a replacement for Zach Eflin, since he's on the injured list, but I think they should've replaced Eflin after last season if his knee injury is gonna be this much of an issue.

Synd is off to a slow start.... the Phillies offense should help him out more

Well, the Phillies offense is having trouble against Alcantara. :( But Syndergaard got out of the last inning pretty well.

Still 1-0 Marlins.

2-0 Marlins. Normally that would be okay, but Alcantara is keeping the Phillies from getting any hits or runs.

this is a kind of slow game...Phillies need to pick up their offense a little...

Remember who they're up against. Alcantara is one of the best pitchers in baseball, if not the best. I'm surprised the Phillies didn't try to get him in the off season. He's wasted on the Marlins.

I've never heard of the guy...I've been retired from Fantasy Sports for a number of years...maybe since 2018.... good thing I'm not playing fantasy baseball

Sorry. :lol: Well, it's not surprising that you haven't heard of him. Neither did I. He's on the Marlins, so he's an elite pitcher on a lousy team, which sucks for him. He'd get more attention if he pitched for a more prominent team.

maybe the Marlins Pitcher's agent will demand a trade and it won't be so public next year

Well, we could've gotten him, but Dombrowski didn't wanna give up any Phillies prospects, so that's why we got Syndergaard.
