N.F.L. Pick the Winners 2022 Week 2 (deadline: Thursday, September 15th @ 8:15 P.M. E.S.T.)
Welcome to the 22nd season of the NFL "Pick the Winners" game here at the sports board! For those who have played this game before, you know how the drill goes. If you are knew to the game it's pretty simple. During each week of the season, there will be a thread posted with that week's slate of games. It is your job to pick the winner of each match-up and place a point value on it. This week there are 16 games on the schedule. You would allocate your poi ts from the game you are most confident in (16 pts.) to the game you view as a toss up (1 PT.) * You may not place the same point value on more than 1 game. It should be decreasing value from 16 to 1*
At the conclusion of each week, we will add up the total points, and crown a "Pick The Winners" champion. Over the course of the season, we will keep a list of the weekly champions & a running points total and/or most weekly championships will be crowned the season winner. Sounds pretty simple right? So join in! If you have any questions feel free to ask them here. Remember you must have your picks in by the posted deadline listed, so make sure to double-check to make sure you are correct before then. Also, once the deadline passes, your picks are locked in. Really important to get picks in before the deadline each week the entire season , as the NFL expanded the Thursday Night schedule to almost the entire season. If you miss Thursdays deadline or double pick the same game, only that pick will not count. Again, double-check your picks to make sure that you have all the teams you want to pick & the numbers 1 to 16. 2022 Overall Standings: canflam: 81 pts (10-5-1) Logan: 81 pts (8-7-1) Hot Rod: 70 pts (8-7-1) NOLA504: 67 pts (7-8-1) Ms Cyatt: 62 pts (8-7-1) The Survivor: 61 pts (6-9-1) Week 2 Schedule: Thursday, September 15th L.A. Ties have been a part of the N.F.L. in its entire history I believe. What would you have happen if teams are tied after the 10 minute overtime period in the N.F.L. regular season? Remember overtime periods use to be 15 minutes long if someone did not score earlier in it. Thankfully I think that got lowered to 10 minutes to in part prevent injuries. I actually would be in favour of the N.F.L. having 12 minute quarters, such as in the N.B.A. & in overtime have a 12 minute quarter as well. In College Football they used to not even have overtime. If games were tied after the 4th quarter those games would end in a tie. There was a notable 1 between Floridia & Florida St. in 1994 that is known as"Choke at Doak". In it Florida had a 28-point lead & gave it up by allowing Florida St. to score 28 points in the 4th quarter. That game's final score was 31-31, do classic's can end in ties.

do you know what Vagas rules for tie games are...? I'm guessing they don't give the consumer the benefit of the doubt...and NO money is gained for the consumer.- that's what I'm referring to since we're running Pick the Winner games
