Thanks for starting the thread for the 2020 Summer Olympics.

I have edited the thread title with more details and a spoilers warning.

It was a great ceremony.

I have been enjoying the men's cycling road race and the swimming heats.

Thanks for this thread. So happy the Olympics are finally happening. It's been a hard year for everybody and there's always something so nice and comforting about watching the Games. They always make me happy.

It was kind of odd watching the Opening Ceremony with no crowd but they did a great job despite all the obstacles they faced.

I'm excited to see the new events like 3x3 basketball, surfing, climbing, etc.

So glad the Olympics have started!

Very weird with no fans in the stands. But I am glad that we could still have the Games.

I love gymnastics, diving, beach volleyball, tennis and swimming. I found myself watching the skateboarding last night!

Thanks for the tweet. Wow, they are so young!

I have been enjoying the women's cycling road race, tennis, rowing, canoeing, swimming, diving, and men's cross country cycling over the past 2 days. I saw GBR win 3 gold medals and a silver medal.

So young!

I loved seeing the teenager from Alaska win the gold in swimming yesterday. The video of all her supporters celebrating back home was so infectious!

I haven't been keeping up with these Olympics much. I have gotten some alerts from apps. on my phone about them & Simona Biles from what I understand is out of them already. Wish her well.

I have been watching the Olympics religiously during the day and at night.

Simone withdrew from the individual all-round competition today as well.
