Welcome to the 22nd season of the NFL "Pick the Winners" game here at the sports board! For those who have played this game before, you know how the drill goes. If you are knew to the game it's pretty simple. During each week of the season, there will be a thread posted with that week's slate of games. It is your job to pick the winner of each match-up and place a point value on it. This week there are 16 games on the schedule. You would allocate your poi ts from the game you are most confident in (16 pts.) to the game you view as a toss up (1 PT.) * You may not place the same point value on more than 1 game. It should be decreasing value from 16 to 1*

At the conclusion of each week, we will add up the total points, and crown a "Pick The Winners" champion. Over the course of the season, we will keep a list of the weekly champions & a running points total and/or most weekly championships will be crowned the season winner. Sounds pretty simple right? So join in! If you have any questions feel free to ask them here.

Remember you must have your picks in by the posted deadline listed, so make sure to double-check to make sure you are correct before then. Also, once the deadline passes, your picks are locked in.

Really important to get picks in before the deadline each week the entire season , as the NFL expanded the Thursday Night schedule to almost the entire season.

If you miss Thursdays deadline or double pick the same game, only that pick will not count.

Again, double-check your picks to make sure that you have all the teams you want to pick & the numbers 1 to 16.

That game between Jacksonville & Cincinnati yesterday ended up being closer than I thought & hoped it would be. 7.5 was the line I'm pretty sure before that game began yesterday with the Bengals favoured. Well, done by Jacksonville beating that spread though. Tough game to bet money on if individuals chose to do so yesterday. Sunday is going to be fascinating. The Lions have a great chance to win vs. Chicago after that horrible loss 5 days ago. Cleveland vs. Minnesota should be interesting, along with usually the 49ers vs. Seahawks & of course Tampa Bay vs. New England. It's tough to expect the Patriots to win that game, but hope that they are competitive in it. We each picked Cincinnati to win yesterday, so I have a 1 point lead to begin Sunday's slate of games.

OK. That's what I've calculated. We each picked New Orleans & Tennessee to win today. They both lost. Each of us picked Cleveland over Minnesota today, except for Hot Rod. That's significant, because if Cleveland had lost then only Hot Rod & Logan would still have at least 50 points at this time. I didn't pick the Giants to win today, but good for Daniel Jones or ''Danny Dimes'' leading them to a victory.
