My condolences on another disappointing season opener for West Ham United Tracey. The Hammers came out with a more attacking style, but blew some golden opportunities, failing to convert a penalty kick and not scoring when they were a man up before losing a man to make it 10 on 10. Obviously the knives are already sharpening for Big Sam.

I`m pleased that Arsenal were able to pull out a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at the Emirates. Great job by Aaron Ramsey of coming through with another game winner. However i wasn't pleased with the lack of fitness and sharpness from the squad and Arsene having the very lackluster Sanogo in the starting lineup. Hopefully he will make changes to it for the trip to Istanbul for the first leg of the Champions League Play-off round against Beşiktaş on Tuesday.

thanks Rod , I still can't believe Noble fluffed the penalty!, you can always rely on him taking penalty's and putting them in the back of the net, don't know what the bloody hell happened there

Did you see West Brom vs. Sunderland from yesterday? The Sunderland coach was livid about that penalty kick called against them & it was a questionable call. They did get the draw though. Tough loss by the Saints today as they didn't hold onto possession of the ball nearly enough.

Hmm, didn't watch the match, and again there is no highlights, it's like four goals tucked in 40 seconds, wtf..
It's good that tommorow is the preview of the entire gameweek..
For what I seen, it was a small contact but not enough for the penalty, he fell easy, see it that he couldn't get the ball so he just dropped..

Steve Bruce (Hull) was angry about the penalty QPR got against them too...

That was because of the handball call right? I don't understand why a player gets a red card for that plus the opposition gets a penalty kick for it as well. Unsure though how to compare it to other sports. I guess if a golfer picked up his ball with his hand & moved it closer to the hole after his shot & then had to drop a stroke plus get ejected from the tournament that's what this reminds me more of. I had not seen that happen before or a penalty kick & red card awarded for a handball call until last weekend.

Disappointing performance by Burnley today giving up 3 consecutive goals to Chelsea.

You can't compare sports.
What match are you talking about? Probably about the West Ham - Spurs game?

Well, you don't always get a penalty kick (handball) + red card..
But in a situation where you stop a direct goal like Naughton, then you get a red card.
Remember WC 2010, Luis Suarez handball from the line vs. Ghana.

Yeah. Hand ball is 1 of those judgments calls I guess & may be he shouldn't have let the referee make that decision by putting his hands in the air.

Well it started off with the Sunderland game and I was on about the Hull and QPR game, but yes West Ham got into it

Still that Noble missed that penalty!

Thankfully it's very early in the season. Did you see AC Milan's Keisuka Honda's corner kick from last weekend? Oh it was was funny. He kicked that ball right into the stands.

I don't know, but had not seen it before. Did you catch any matches today? I saw the Aston Villa vs Newcastle & Southampton vs. West Brom matches. No goals scored in either of them. Good win by West Ham. I need to see the replay of it.

Saw our goals

Great win for us yesterday , good to get our first win on the board, and an away win at that, and also 3 points

Tough loss for Liverpool. Was hoping they'd at least get a draw today, but that 2nd half was brutal for em. They did manage to score though.
