Toronto Blue Jays #1
I was looking and looking through the pages, and didn't find a thread for them. I gather that on here we are allowed to make threads for a certain team, just not one thread for baseball
Toronto won last night 2 - 1, but the game went 18 innings __________________

Halladay just beat the Sox 3-1. Yeah, boy!! It'll be sad to see Doc go if/when they trade him. I'm hoping they can find some kind of way to keep him, although, the chances look slim. __________________

I'm so happy the jays won the series 2-1 I'm especially glad that Rios and Overbay have stepped up because before the All Star break hey were really facing a slump. I don't want the Doc to be traded either. Even though his last year in his contract will be 2010, I really think that we can improve. |

Yeah, they need Doc to mentor the young guys. When healthy, the Jays would have a real nice starting rotation of: Roy Halladay, Ricky Romero, Scott Richmond, Jesse Litsch, and Dustin McGowan. Halladay would be perfect anchoring that rotation.

Saturday was not great at all. Aaron, Yunel, & Edwin went a combined 1-9 from the plate & I started each of them on my fantasy team. I have Colby also, but sat him on the bench then he ends up hitting a homer. Oh well, at least they have a current winning record at this time. What do you think of the trades the Jays made on July 27th?

I was sad they traded Corey Patterson. I was also confused why they traded for a 3rd basemen, but they were waiting for Brett Lawrie to come up from AAA, and he came up this weekend.

Brett Lawrie hit a home run vs. the O's on Sunday in his team's victory. The Jays also assigned Andrew Burns to the GCL Blue Jays & optioned Travis Snider to Las Vegas. Hope they do well at those places, especially Travis Snider who has struggled a lot this year of course. Corey Patterson's bat has struggled a lot this as well, so so may be this move will work out for both teams.
