So as far as I can see there's no biathlon thread here, so I thought I should start one. I think biathlon is a great sport. My fav biathletes are Liv Grete and Raphael Poiree. I hope that there are more people here that are biathlonfans, or else this thread is going to be pretty lonely

Biathlon's great - the mass start's and relays are quite exciting. I live in Norway, so it's quite a big thing over here.

I'm Norwegian too, lol. Where in Norway do you live? Who are your favs?

More Norwegians I live in Lindesnes at the moment... you? I like basically all Norwegians, but especially Liv-Grete Poiree and Ole-Einar Bjørndalen. Do you know when the season actually starts, BTW?

I live in Bergen.

Can I ask why you like OEB and Liv Grete? I'll give you my reasons for liking Liv and Raph. I noticed Raph first during the WCH in Holmenkollen in 2000 (I was there), the first thing I noticed was his eyes, and of course at first I just liked him for his looks, but then I started noticing him and Liv Grete more and more and to me they seemed very sympathetic, and I just like them more and more and they became my idols. And I got all my thoughts about them confirmed when I was fortunate to meet them about one and a half year ago (April 2005). They are always very nice to me when I meet them, and they are great to talk to and very down to earth people, and they really care about their fans. And in addition to all that they are of course great biathletes (or Liv Grete was before she retired). So now you know why I like them.

The worldcup season starts on wednesday the 29th of November so it's not that far away

I have got addicted to watching biathlon since watching it at the Olympics. My favourite part is the shooting because the leader board can change quite a bit if someone has a bad shoot and someone has an amazing shoot.

Actually, my least favorite is the shooting.
