Fight scenes are like the hardest thing for me to write. Physical fight scenes, anyway. (Ironic, since that's what my most recent Roswell fic ended on.)

Question that I already asked in the Bellamy thread on The 100 board, but I want to ask it here, too: If Octavia had been killed or just hadn't made it back to fight in the conclave for some reason, do you think Bellamy would have been the one to do the conclave? (I love him, and he can hold his own in combat, but without guns, he would've been a goner.)

TBH, I always got the feeling that Skaikru would've been without a participant. When Bellarke were standing on that ledge discussing at the end of the episode, both seemed defeated, as in they had zero chance because they were without a fighter.

Bellamy, though I adore him, is not combat trained. He would've been out in one minute. From what we know, Skaikru have been on ground for 9 months give or take? I don't even buy this supposed fighter in Octavia. Not this soon. That's not to say that she hasn't learned some skill from her training. She's a novice at best. But enough skill to enter a conclave? I think not. That takes some major suspension of disbelief for me as a viewer. Skaikru was up a creek imo no matter if Octavia came to fight for them. But of course that wouldn't happen because the show has to have Octavia survive and be the conqueror.

I think that, without Octavia, it's definitely plausible to assume Clarke would have come up with the bunker seizing idea sooner, and she would have told Bellamy about it, of course. I wonder if Bellamy would have gone along with it.

On the Alycia board we did a top anti hero list last week!

For mine instead of doing a top five characters that happen to be anti heroes I decided to do it as how good of an anti hero they are and their relationship with the anti hero title, anyhow Bellamy featured on my list and this is how it panned out.

That's a cool topic.

Bellamy is definitely an anti-hero in my eyes, and I wouldn't have him any other way. It makes him so complex and interesting! I honestly believe he's one of the most complex characters on TV right now.

The only other two I'm familiar with on your list are Klaus and Damon. Great choices, too.

Re your question, April: I definitely think that Bellamy would not be in a position to fight for Skaikru, neither would he really want to as well. Octavia was their best fighter by far but I agree with Sharon that even that seemed unrealistic that she'd actually win it (by fighting with the other representatives, who have literally been trained from birth to fight). However, I do think that the show addressed it realistically ... having her hide during the conclave and win it with brains, not brawn.

So, if Octavia would not have volunteered, I think that Bellamy would have tried to find other alternatives so that Skaikru would survive. If Clarke had brought up the idea (of taking the bunker) to him though, not sure if he would have agreed to that course of action.

Becks, I love your list. I love all the characters you chose.

But to add on to that question, April. That could've been interesting to see Bellamy take on that responsibility and get badly hurt. Like left by another clan fighter believing he was dead, only he wasn't. That could've changed some things in those ending episodes. Clarke and crew trying to save him all the while saving themselves.

Could you imagine a comatose Bellamy being in the bunker or lifted off into space?

Okay, so that kind of transitions into my next question then. Do you think Bellamy would have gone along with the bunker stealing plan? I love the guy, and I didn't love Clarke's decision there, but . . . I think he may have gone along with it. Although I think a lot of it would have depended on whether or not he believed Octavia was still alive out there. If he thought there was any chance that she was still out there, I think he might have wanted to go find her.

April, I think that is a hard one to answer but I'm inclined to agree with you. A lot of it hinged on Octavia being out there, he didn't seem to oppose her actions directly but was more concerned/angry about Octavia being left out of it. I can't say that I agree with either one of them there if that's the case, though.

Yes, I love Bellamy, but I can totally acknowledge that his motivation was getting Octavia in that bunker, not doing the whole OneKru thing.

I wonder how much of a fight that would've been between the Blakes if Jaha and Clarke was sucessful in nabbing her and Kane. Cause I highly doubt Bellamy would be so eager to open that bunker up. Imo, Octavia was definitely his only motivation.

Yeah, that's interesting to think about. Would Bellamy have supported Octavia's decision or a Clarke's decision there? Hmm . . .

There would've been a Blake siblings fight for sure. I definitely see him siding with Clarke at that moment. What if Bellamy would've locked Octavia up like Clarke did to him? Drama! Possibly five years of resentment between Octavia and Bellamy.
