I respect differences in opinions, but it's so clearly the same concept of wanting to be able to control what she does, it's just that one is more literal. And like I said, they have the same result, so . . . :shrug: Not really all that different.

Also, there are more things at play in both scenes, they're not trying to control her for the sake of controlling her. They're doing it because they think it's best in that current situation. Though I am totally on Clarke's side in both situations. BAD BELLEXA :nono:

You know what? Too many people mistakenly assume that appreciating a character means you have to overlook their flaws. I'm glad we don't do that here.

Yeah, I was 100% behind Bellamy until he took it too far :lol: Damn Bellamy. There's such a satisfying feeling you get when one of your favourite characters tells it straight to another of your favourite characters when they've been an idiot!

Yeah, I have pretty much been really mad at all my favourite characters at one time or another. Which is important because all characters are flawed, all characters will make a mistake at one point but its all about going on that journey with them, through the good and the bad.

And on the flip side, too many people assume that, when you dislike a character, you can never admit something they've done right or something that you do enjoy (or at least don't mind) about them.

Most people will NEVER admit when a character they dislike does a good thing though :lol: it really bothers me. Bellamy could end world hunger and achieve world peace and people would still think he's the devil. Some people are just that pig headed, but we don't even take on these people, they obviously have some personal underlying issues with themselves and use Bellamy to project that on to IMO.

I mean . . . okay, despite the fact that I post in this thread--I love this thread and the open-mindedness--you know me and you know that Lexa is just not my favorite character. But I appreciate that she did switch to the "blood must not have blood" idea. Any issue I have with that is an issue with the quick pace of the writing, not her character. I thought she was cool in 3x16. I may not ship Clexa but I thought their sex scene was really beautifully filmed. She's actually going to appear in this next chapter of my fanfic, and it's only one chapter, but I'm looking forward to writing her part.

I just don't get why it's so hard for some people to find even one positive thing to say about either Bellamy or Lexa. It's just stubbornness at this point. And honestly, I will never understand how some people can invest so much of their time in negativity.

Sometimes I think it's just a bravado, I've actually had some interesting chats with huge anti Bellamy people were the truth has come out :P It's mostly a front, I learnt behaviour.

It's easier to just hate something than to understand them, I feel most Bellexa haters just don't understand the characters.

I'm quite weird though, I watched the season finale of a show the other day and found myself getting emo over a ship I hate and also finding their sex scene hot. I still really don't like that ship, but I can admit those things :lol:
