Probably the latter, bc she already had them dyed for lost flowers and then dyed them again when she did the photoshoot for cartier. So she was already blonde when she got this opportunity. But tend to think they might have asked her to dye.

Then again many porduction these days rely on wigs, see anya taylor joy in the queens gambit wearing a red wig or jennifer lawrence wearing a red short hair wig in don't look up or mia haley wearing a short/bald wig on the wilds. Wigs are a common and easy opportunity for actors to have a different hairstyle/colour without having to dye or cut it.

IN case of lost flowers I guess alycia was interested in trying out blonde again and thus dyed it over using a wig and since she was blonde already saint x was a good opportunity.

I agree with Gab, I also think she gladly jumped onto the opportunity. Perhaps she wanted to try out something new for a long time and she didn't like a wig so she rather dyed her hair.
