did i ever mention part of my family comes from turkey? they hate the politics there and we are even scared to travel their and visit them this year. we can't even say our opinion on skype or whatever cause we are afraid something might happen to them. monarchy is the worst and once the wrong people are in charge it only gets worse.

Tina, that sounds horrifying. :eek: It's astounding how paranoid we still are, just for our own safety and the safety of others. Even with all the "progress" we supposedly have made as a human race. It's really like there is no unity anywhere.

it is terrifying. i don't see my grandma and the family very often, mostly just every second or third year. and not it's getting more and more difficult since we are scared to go to turkey. they are imprisoning people without any reason :mad:
and the word i used below was "monarchy" but i was actually meaning dictatorship.

it does and the worst thing is you can just sit in front of your tv, see the news and get upset - but there is nothing you can do about it. i admire the people who go on the street to demonstrate and take the risk to be imprisoned which can easily happen in turkey nowadays. and at the same time i am very grateful being born and living in germany where we can be lucky to have human rights. but seeing part of my family suffers there...it's horrible :(

I get so angry at the things that Trump is doing here, I can't even imagine what it must be like in much stricter countries like Turkey and Russia and such. :eek:
