Yeah that would be depressing.

Oh well that is surprising, i mean halloween not so much, many in germany celebrate that too these days, but thanksgiving is such an american thing I think there is only very few people in germany who do. But you celebrate it with turkey and all?

since my sister did her year abroad in the UK and befriended with a lot of americans there and celebrated Thanksgiving there as well, she came home and cooked us a great meal twice. this year i can finally help her since i am still on short work. she will come home on wednesday, we will go grocery shopping together and cook on thursday. and yes we'll have turkey, but of course not a big stuffed one as American tradition but more like a small version. but she is planning to do pumpkin pie which is a must have at Thanksgiving too. and my parents are looking forward to a good meal :D

Isn‘t pumpkin pie more a halloween thing to do? At least i thought.

I must say you guy are very special and so different than any turkish-german family i ever met here in NRW (who are usually more turkish and islamic oriented in their tradition and festivities like Ramadan & co).

Pumpkin pie is most definitely a Thanksgiving thing, not Halloween :nod:

So I read I read trumps buddy, Putin probably has parkinson‘s disease or some other terminal illness and might have to give up politics by next year. Not that this would be something to normally be happy about, but in this case it might help russia become more democratic once putin is gone.
