The 100 has introduced its first gay character. In season 2, episode 9, the strong and compassionate Grounder leader Lexa (played by Alycia Debnam Carey) made a subtle reference to a lost love.

Kind of got into a discussion with my friend about it tonight, it was a good talk, but then I though about it and can't even remember if I'm really out to her or not. :look: I saw something earlier about the weird place it is to be half out and half not, like out to some people but not to others. Rang totally true.

I think being a lesbian icon was kind of a shock to her at first, but she seems pretty cool with it. :love:
