Lexa was far from selfish and IF she would have said it in that moment and Clarke's mind began to change about leaving, there was no way Lexa would have wanted her to stay just because she had said those words.

Exactly. Lexa proved many times and in many un-directed ways how she felt and Clarke is smart, she knew how Lexa felt. But it would have been lovely to have seen it. That article in the Lexa thread has a small piece on the finale episode where Lexa and Clarke could have said everything that they wanted and needed to say...it would have been the moment they got their goodbye. Yet again, it was a wasted opportunity.
