So you saw it already?

Am on episode 8 of squid game and can‘t filly recommend it tbh despite it being exiting. But by that eppy all female characters have been killed off. And the only non-asian chracter too. Tbh eastern shows are usually more sexist than western productions. But tbh in asian tv female characters are usually just the stepping stones for the male characters development in one or another direction. Makes you think how despite being all quite sexist, western film businesses like hollywood or Europe are still a lot more female friendly overall. At least since the 2000s.

I mean let us be honest, an asian woman has a bigger chance of getting to play a strong female characters in hollywood despite the racism there than in korea or japan. Feminism one thing that we invented in the west that is truly better here (europe, north america, australia and maybe russia) compared to anywhere else in the current modern world.

I have not yet seen the final episode though, I'll tell you what I think of it. But I don't have very high expecations tbh.

It is? Well that is something at least. But again I still have to watch the finale and see how that was.

Edit watched it, it was not bad but some things weren't good, like the whole part of the old man being behind it all was slightly weird twist and also I‘m disappointed the whole side story of the cop looking for his brother literally lead to nothing in the end. Why did the writers even bother sending him there?

I think the second season will be as good. All in all I really thought Squid Game was worth watching and something else entirely.

It was clearly special no doubt, but also a bit sexist for sure.
