Yeah maybe he also thought he had driven him far enough that he'd never come back from being a junkie and would eventually die from an overdose anyway

Maybe he was just so insignificant that Kilgrave didn't think he'd be a problem...

I love that scene so much. And I think that's exactly what he needed to hear too to help him be strong and overcome this. I don't know if he would have had the strength to do it if it had been just about him, I think a big part of it was for Jessica too. And because she believed in him it made him believe in himself, too.

This is why I'm so glad Malcolm has Jessica as his neighbor. She was the only one that genuinely cared for him. Robyn & Ruben didn't really care for him.

Yeah he really was lucky. Most people would've looked at him as a gross junkie who they were afraid would probably steal their stuff, so they'd go out of their way to avoid him. I love that Jessica always saw that he was a person underneath all that and that he just needed help.

I just don't understand why she didn't try to stop him from spiraling into drug addiction sooner than she did. It wasn't until she found out he was being controlled by Kilgrave.

I think it's more dangerous that he is being mind-controlled by Kilgrave than knowing that he's just doing drugs out of his freewill. Knowing that means that Malcolm's life is at risk even more because Kilgrave can choose to end his life anytime he wants to.
