• Manager Lou Pearlman had hit it big by getting the Backstreet Boys together, and he wanted to see if lightning would strike twice. He first approached Chris Kirkpatrick, who gathered the other four members: Joey Fatone, JC Chasez, Justin Timberlake and Jason Galasso.

• Timberlake's mother came up with the name of the group: 'N Sync. The name not only fit the group's style but also incorporated the last letter from each of the guys' first names.

• After Galasso dropped out, Timberlake's vocal coach recommended 16-year-old Lance Bass, who immediately clicked with the group's other members.

• After three months of rehearsals, the group went to Bass' hometown of Clinton, Mississippi, to perform at his high school. They were a big hit.

• In May 1997, 'N Sync's self-titled debut album launched in Europe, on Germany's BMG label. The guys toured Europe for a year before making their first U.S. appearance.

• Their first single in the United States met an unenthusiastic response until July 1998, when the Backstreet Boys backed out of a Disney Channel concert special--and 'N Sync stepped in.

• The group began a 34-city tour in the fall. One of the opening acts was Timberlake's old Mouseketeer pal, Britney Spears.

• Group members occasionally sought refuge in strip clubs to escape the throngs of screaming girls.

• Although 'N Sync was selling millions of albums and tons of merchandise, the members' actual income in 1997 was just $19,000 each. In 1998 it doubled, to $38,000 each.

• The group's contract with Pearlman entitled him to 75 percent of its recording income, 80 percent of merchandising deals and 92 percent of endorsement money.

• Sensing they could get a better deal elsewhere, the singers moved from RCA to Jive Records. Pearlman and RCA sued the group for $150 million and sought to prevent it from performing with the name 'N Sync. The group countersued for $25 million.

• At the end of 1999, 'N Sync, RCA and Pearlman settled out of court. The group officially changed its name to *NSYNC.

• 'N Sync's next album, No Strings Attached, went on sale Mar. 21, 2000. "Bye, Bye, Bye," the first single, became a huge hit.

• The album sold 2.4 million copies in two weeks, making it the fastest-selling pop album in history.

• More than a million fans bought tickets to the tour for No Strings Attached on the first day. The tour sold out 51 of 52 cities in one day and had to add dates.

• In fall 2001, Timberlake and Spears went public with their romance.

• Fatone landed a role in the sleeper hit film My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

• In April 2001 the single "Pop" raced up the charts. Three months later the album Celebrity became another huge hit.

• The tour for Celebrity played smaller venues, reflecting reduced ticket sales.

• In February 2002, a production company approached Bass and signed him to be the subject of a documentary as he prepared to go into space with the Russian space program.

• Bass trained six days a week for the space program, including four hours a day of Russian-language classes.

• In March 2002, Spears announced that her relationship with Timberlake was over.

• That spring 'N Sync announced it would be taking a break. Timberlake and Chasez did solo projects, Bass kept training, and Fatone starred in the musical Rent.

• Because of financing issues, Bass' trip to the International Space Station was canceled.

• Timberlake's album Justified debuted at number two on the charts. His single "Cry Me a River" was seen as a recounting of his relationship with Spears. He cast a Spears look-alike in the video for the song.

• In April 2003, 22-year-old Timberlake started dating 31-year-old Cameron Diaz. In June he paired with Christina Aguilera for a summer concert tour.

• At the 2004 Super Bowl, Timberlake performed a halftime show with Janet Jackson. Toward the end, he ripped off a piece of her clothing and, well, you know the rest...

• Timberlake called the event a "wardrobe malfunction" and had to apologize at the Grammy awards, where he won Grammys for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and Best Pop Vocal Album.

My VCR was supposed to be recording but it messed up so I had to wait till midnight to watch the thing.

I'm not sure that it was worth it or not because of the fact that everyone already knows all the information that they told.

The only thing different that we heard is about JC's album and how the guy's were all like: "It's about damn time."

E! was so weird about Chris. They were like: "The one member of Nsync who hasn't been out and about is Chris but Chris and the rest of the guys will soon be blah blah blah." They said absolutely NOTHING about him. [img]smilies/frown.gif[/img]

Not that I can remember. They said that Joey was good in acting. Did a great job on "My big fat greek wedding" and in "Rent." They said that Lance wanted to go out into space but couldn't. They said that Justin did an amazing job on his CD and that JC just came out w/one. But all they really mentioned about Chris was that he started Nsync and that he was a member of the group.

Yeah, Chris was just mentioned briefly. They talk about how he is keeping a low profile at the end of the show.
