Empire 3x02 "Sin That Amenda" Episode Discussion [09/28/2016]
3x02 "Sin That Amenda" Jamal tries to turn his being shot into something positive when he teams up with a businessman to talk about gun violence and host a summit for awareness. But when he tries to perform again, things don’t go as planned. Meanwhile, Lucious attempts to get Cookie in his corner; Hakeem enters the recording studio with Shine; and Andre gets in trouble with the law. |

I will try to watch one episode online when I don't have university and work... I know one Tuesday is free day here ... in 3 weeks or so that would be episode 5! I will have to find a live stream __________________

Cookie starting this episode off waking up. lol I love it.
 She keeps getting woken up. lolAlso nice that Porsha and Cookie scene.  Loved it. lol And Cookie holding her stance with being completely done with Lucious.Anika trying to hiring a nanny and Lucious is against it and going off on Anika. I wish Anika would come back with the "SHUT THE F up, I'm married to you to protect your a$$ so stop making demands." Jamal getting asked about what happened on stage. Taye Diggs character "Councilman" tells Jamal that it was PTSD... and of course it didn't go over well for Cookie when it came to Jamal going to the Summit, although Jamal wanted to go there for the kids.  Also Cookie doesn't trust people who are to polite. Lucious isn't happy about the newfound fame for Nessa. And Hakeem getting closer to Nessa and Shyne, as expected. Cookie returning all of Lucious gifts to him and tells him to return it to Anika. Lucious trying very hard to get Cookie back... and now Lucious says everything is strictly business now... "His fainting Justin Bieber moment." I love these Lucious/Cookie scenes. It's so much fun when Lucious is chasing Cookie while Cookie is pushing away.Aww nice tour, Jamal. Angelo Anti-Violence Summit Zey a new character with a 3.8 GPA and some rapping skills here. It seems so obvious that Nessa and Hakeem is totally going to hook up soon. If so, hopefully it's not rushed.Becky and Cookie scene. We don't see that interaction much so nice to see that, and a nice Cookie and Lucious scene to follow that and of course Cookie isn't handling it. More flashbacks of young Cookie/Lucious. I love it. It was great. "meant to be together." We know they are but Lucious keep ruining things.  I actually agree with Lucious though that they went through everything together so really this is nothing. Aww poor Andre. he wants to see Rhonda right now. I'm happy that Jamal came by to help his brother.   Yes!! my favorite scene of the day. YESSSS!! Jamal helping his brother Andre since no one else seem to care. I like this Angelo and Cookie interaction! And yeah, it's obvious that Cookie will fall for Angelo. Wow Lucucious. I can't believe I'm loving this Cookie/Lucious interaction so much!! Just amazing.Jamal talking about Angelo/Cookie relationship made Lucious push up his game. Wow Biz Markie showed up to sing "Just a Friend." Lucious really went up and beyond this time didn't he! The start to this love triangle is amazing. This hurt me to watch this because of Cookie and Lucious was written this way from the beginning I would have loved them.  Cookie was with a person Barry before Lucious. "My destiny was music and my destiny was you." great quote from Lucious to Cookie. Cookie finally showed up to Andre's apartment! finally. You can tell that Cookie isn't use to handling this. This is a great scene. The Cookie I love returned back full force in this episode! I love that she told Andre to keep fighting. Don't mess with Shyne's sister. I completely agreed with Shyne here though, the guy who was looking at Nessa looked like a pervert. lol Not liking Porsha lipstick in this scene right here. Aww the flashbacks of Barry and Cookie scenes... What is Angelo turned out to be Barry? Aretha Dang Jamal with this PTSD. At least Cookie is handling this better than she handled it last week... she really seems concerned now. Dang Jamal might not be able to continue with his career right now. Angelo/Cookie sparks... That was hilarious when Angelo tried to give Lucious a handshake but Lucious wasn't having it. lol Aww Becky boyfriend telling her to go somewhere where she is more appreciated. Yess! All brothers in a scene again. I love it! all three of them helping each other. and Andre of course being the mature one here and trying to uplift everyone.All the honesty with all the brothers, just how I like it. Tariq flashbacks! I love it. It's good to see a bit of his past. ANd his camera was found. The end scene addressing the real life police brutality of men of color...  Great episode overall! |

I loved the episode.
Lookie I love getting this much Lookie and I love seeing Lucious trying to earn her again. Cookie ain't no empty but I love her resisting  Their youngselves are so great too! Loved it all.Angelo (Taye)  Lucious' jeaolusy haha, I am loving this triangle already  Biz Markie showing up to sing "Just a Friend." and all flashbacks Lookie again Lyon brothers  Becky looks so good and I didn't know she was still in a relationship. I hope she gets what she wants. Oh I wasn't expecting to see young Tariq! I loved it. Bring it on more with these youngsters! Also I wasn't expecting them to find the cam so soon. Can Dre get a break for pete's sake? __________________

Andre is having a tough time.
And yes, a great start to this triangle even though I still wonder if there is the Angelo and Barry connection... I really don't understand why we needed to see Barry, in less he is someone in the present right now... |

FAVORITE EPISODE I THINK!
Dammit what am I supposed to do now... with Cookie and Lucious AND Cookie and Angelo...  I ship it! I ship both Ohh man I'm enjoying this love triangle SOOO SOOO MUCH!  it started amazing and that's how I expect it to continue! Lucious really made Cookie a lion-gift? that scene was hilarious! Anika looking for a baby-sitter and then telling Lucious' mother not to come close to the baby lol Lucious' look when Cookie and Angelo talked and Cookie was all like "*swoon*" while Angelo was talking JAMAL AND ANDRE ARE PRECIOUS! I LOVED their scenes! I seriously loved them. I'm fine with no Cookie-Jamal as long as we get Jamal-Andre! Also good that Cookie was comforting Andre, finally! I don't like Hakeem's storyline! He is boring somehow ... awhhh how I feel about the new guy and Cookie  __________________

This ep was better, lots of Lookie and cool Biz Markie surprise thats my old school jam!!! love the flashbacks, I'm not sure about Hakeem and Nessa colab
Jamal freaking out again, and too funny Anika thought she was gone have it easy trying to hire a nanny, girl you better work for it It seemed like Lucious knew about the cam the whole time. The end with Andre being racially profiled and harrassed by cops is so cliche, I know its a very real thing but we have enough of that going on real time.__________________

I didn't get the impression that Lucious knew about the camera the whole time
you guys did? I liked the last scene, it was a powerful scene and very important imo. I live in Austria and such things don't happen here, I never heard of it here only in the US and thought it's awful and terrible but like I really felt awful and thought about it all more now after watching the scene. It's good thing they did it imo __________________
