So much of my thoughts about this episode are wrapped up in seeing David James Elliott again.

In part, it was great seeing him again. But it was also hard seeing him in this role - of a guy who basically no longer has any control over his life. Especially when you realize this was a guy who was very much in charge before he was shot. Wrapping that all up with an actor that I'm used to seeing play Harmon Rabb (from JAG) - and it's a tough episode for me to watch.

I did love seeing souped-up Cabe. That was fun.

Same. I was (and am) so pleased that he was on an episode, but it is kinda hard to watch (plus I very rarely watch episodes with Drew in them anyway, he's just so obnoxious to me).

I have to admit, I was a little disappointed at end when the DJE character sees the woman he was in love with, and it wasn't Catherine Bell.

How amazing would that have been though?

DJE in Scorpion does sort of throw me a bit though, because Scorpion and JAG exist in the same universe (which we know because JAC -> NCIS -> NCIS: LA, and Hetty being on Scorpion). And it's the first time that a major character from one of those shows guest starred on another one while not playing their original character.

I hadn't even thought of that, but you are very right. Maybe subconsciously that was part of my problem with it, too. Now I really wish they had found a way to do the story with Harm - but I would NOT want him to be dealing with the same disability. That would be heartbreaking.

And yes, having Catherine Bell appear as well would have been awesome.

Haven't watched this one in a while, it was good to revisit it.

This episode has some of Toby's funniest quips - "Drew's short for what, Michael?", "It doesn't mean we're going steady" and "We caught him blue handed" I also loved Toby's attempt at human bowling as if it would somehow impress Happy!

It's great to see the team all working together to quickly work out what's going on with the secret nuclear subs. It's a little odd to see Cabe making asides about working with them, but he often made those kind of references in Season 1.

I've never watched JAG so I didn't know the guest star, but it's weird if the shows are supposed to exist in the same TV universe and he's playing a different character. His storyline was interesting and I loved how they 'juiced up' Cabe into even more of an action man than he normally is!

The end is wonderful, of course, with Walter really opening up to Paige and admitting his feelings. It's rare to see him being so vulnerable without any prompting. I love how Walter admits at the end that Ralph has an important place in his life and he doesn't want him, or Paige, to go to Portland.

I hope so! I enjoy them. It's a good excuse to rewatch certain eps that I may not otherwise choose to watch.

(Also it gives me the chance to record my own very valid and important thoughts about the earlier eps! )

I was thinking I need to revive this. And so I shall. But to do that, I need to un-stick this thread, so here goes....

This was on last night - my mother was watching it. I remembered feeling off about it when it was first on and felt off about it again - then I came to this thread to mention that I'd seen part of it and read our comments and yep, I still feel the same way.
