So now that I've got my closet shelves installed, the next home improvement project is painting the den and the kitchen. I found a local company that is entirely women, which I think is pretty cool.

The den is going to turn into a "fan cave", with the Carolina Blue colors of my beloved Tar Heels. I also have Tar Heel curtains and a few other things I can display.

The kitchen is going to be seafoam green with cabinets and trim in a Caribbean teal color.

Started getting my tax papers together today. Taxes, of course, are nothing new. What's new is that it's taken me this long to even get started. Usually be this time I've gotten my refund and spent it.

Speaking of refunds, found out last week that Michigan drivers who had a car that was properly insured as of October 31st, 2021 is getting a $400 refund from our car insurance, which they cannot do as a credit, they have to send us a check or direct deposit it.

I used to haunt a used book store where I could get a bag full of books for $10 - or trade in my used books for store credit.
