Good point. I think Cabe would have to a specify a point in time when Walter began smiling more often that occurred at least a few weeks after Paige and Ralph came into his life AND correlate that point in time to some significant change or event in Walter's relationship with them to be able to associate the change with Paige and Ralph. Otherwise, for all Cabe knows, Walter has been smiling like a goofball for years. Or maybe it was Cabe coming back into his life that causes him to smile. After all, Cabe and Paige's appearance came right about the same time.

Haha. Personally, at this point in the series, while Walter might be thinking "How would Cabe know whether or not I smile more? He hasn't been around for 15 years," I think he'd keep his response to himself and just settle for a simple answer.
