I really hope it doesn't change him all that much. I like Walter just as he is. I like his sometimes giddy enthusiasm, because that is part of who he is - even if he didn't used to let that out as often. But if he was to suddenly become uninterested in his work or some sort of Pollyanna, that would be too much of a change.

Yeah, I agree. I could see him being a bit high on life for a bit - but not because he had sex with Paige, because he's in a relationship with Paige. But I wouldn't want that to be long term or even constant in the short term. I really love him the way he is now.

It was cute that he was so excited about it right at first. And I'd like seeing that resurface sometimes - on very special occasions. But even after just three or four weeks, that goofiness should calm down.

Yeah, on occasion I will love it. But they've already been together for a couple of weeks, even though not properly (and I don't mean that in the "they weren't having sex" way, just in the...obviously being marooned on an island with their colleagues isn't exactly traditional dating), so I imagine it might dial down a bit. Though it may take an episode or so of season four for that to happen if they don't do a time jump, which we haven't gotten any indication yet of if we will or how big of a jump it might be.

Yeah, I wouldn't want it to last long term either. I just think it would be interesting to see how dating Paige will affect him in certain aspects of his life. Like, maybe every once in a while, he'll think about her in some way and just smile to himself, like wow and I'm dating her.

To me, that's sort of one of the hallmarks of being really in love - that you can't figure out how you got so lucky. Not that the other person is necessarily all that special in the eyes of the average person - but if you're in love with them, they are that special to you. It's also not that you don't see their faults, but that you don't see them as faults - it's just part of who the person is. So even if many women would see Walter's single minded focus as difficult to deal with (when it's not concentrated on them), that's part of what Paige loves about him. While some people might think that Paige's devotion to Ralph is overblown and a potential roadblock to a relationship, Walter sees and respects how important she sees her role as a mother.

What we need is an episode where Walter wakes up with this realization and spends the day periodically gushing to Toby or Cabe or whoever is available about how lucky he is and, in different scenes, Paige does the same thing about Walter. It would be really sweet if Toby and Happy, and Cabe and Allie, after listening to this from both sides all day long, sit down and talk about how lucky they feel they are. With all that, there may not be time for a case.

I'm down for anything that has Walter talking honestly about his feelings with his friends. The few times that he got close to that - like with Happy and the Jazz tickets - have been real gems, even before he admitted to loving Paige. It would be great to see him talk about it - expressing some of the same fears, but also his excitement - from this new perspective.

Yeah, I really loved the Happy/Walter stuff in 3.23, partly because of the content and partly because I love that dynamic so much. I'd love to see more stuff along the lines of Walter's emotions next year. Maybe if it's Happy it can be something a la Robots but instead of them being kinda dejected and stuff they can both have positivity, since they're both in love.

Part of me would like to see him have a little bro-talk with one of the guys. But I also love his friendship with Happy so much - and it makes so much sense for him to confide in her about these things because her emotional makeup and his are similar.

Between the other three adult geniuses, I've always loved Walter's and Happy's interactions the best.

If Walter and Paige ever have an argument, and their silent treatment against each other affects the team, I'd love to see Happy and Toby tag-team to figure out what's going on and try to fix the issue. I might write this.
