Yeeeeah. I had a long talk with my manager this morning and she is going to talk to her in a way that doesn't make it obvious I told her what happened - because I work immediately after this coworker so when I come in for shift change it is just the two of us there and I don't want it to get hostile if she gets mad at me for "telling on her."

That is a nasty situation. It's amazing that some people seem to think that just because you work together it somehow gives them a right to know everything about you. Of course, if she gossips a lot about other co-workers, it's not surprising that you wouldn't want to tell her anything. Hopefully the manager will get her to understand that her behavior is not acceptable.

Yeah, when I reported it my manager was like "yeah, that's how she is, she is very comfortable talking about things." I said "I know that's how she is, but there are ways that I am that I am not when I am at work."

It was a good conversation. This manager very much wants everyone to be comfortable.

I guess sometimes part of being a good manager is knowing when you have to act to prevent someone going over your head.

Yeah, and she knows I'm the type of person that would do it. I'm not a "let me speak to the manager" person with retail workers or anything, but when it comes to my managers they have a responsibility to make sure unprofessionalism stops. And what my coworker was doing was borderline sexual harassment.

Hi guyyyys!

Whenever I go to California I always adjust to the time zone difference fairly easily, but apparently this time is different. I didn't go to sleep until 3am on Monday night/Tuesday morning, and yet popped out of bed an hour before my alarm. Then we went to bed about 11pm last night, and I woke up at 4am (which is 7am at home). I'm sure by the time Roxanne gets up in a few hours I will be ready for a nap. Night shift has really messed me up apparently.

I put in my notice to vacate this morning and I've got my first appointment with a mover next Tuesday. I don't know whether to die of anxiety or jump for joy.

So I have this antique piano that I cannot play. My brother suggested giving it to my great nephew, who is quite a musician and nephew says he wants the piano. So then my brother launches into all these plans to come up here at the same time I have the movers so he can put the piano on his trailer and haul it to Ohio where nephew lives. I kept trying to give him all sorts of reasons why I didn't want to do that. Finally I had to stop him and let him know that I have enough anxiety about this whole move thing without having any extra details to deal with!

Sheesh!
