Home now, Microsoft Word won't work so I've lost my drafts, so going to start from scratch with Google Docs.

From Google docs, you should be able to open your Word documents in Google Docs and it will automatically convert them & save them on Google Drive. You can also choose to Move them to another location. The Move tool looks like a little file folder with an arrow inside pointing to the right and is at the top of the page just to the right of the document name.

Thanks! I will try that.

So hard for me to get back in the writing groove. I'm just so tired and stressed from the real life all the time.

It would help a lot if the dang pandemic would go away. Besides the stress of the pandemic itself, it's the source of so many related stresses - job issues, economic worries, isolation issues, concerns over being able to get the things you need. The list goes on...

For me it's mostly my geriatric animals, which would be happening anyway.

I can understand that. I'm concerned that Shilo may outlive me. I thought of that before I got her, because she could easily live to be 16 or 17 by which time I'll be 79 or 80. So I've set up a trust fund for her and my niece and her husband have agreed to take her if the time comes that I can't care for her. My niece is more of a cat person, but her husband absolutely adores Shilo and the feeling is mutual.

It still worries me because I know it would be hard on Shilo. But at least I know she will have people who will care for her.

My folks aren't getting anymore animals because of that very concern. I can't see myself ever without a pet, but like you, I'd need to make sure I had multiple options for them once it becomes possible that they could reasonably outlive me. Fortunately that isn't something I currently have to deal with, since I very much doubt the horse will make it another year, and the cat probably has ten years max, and I won't even be forty then. But my folks are in their 60s, so they're starting to have to think about that angle too.

The last thing I would want is for Shilo to wind up in a shelter, even though there are several really good no-kill shelters in this area.
