I posted another chapter last week and our 'favourite' reviewer left her usual complaint about how I should update more quickly because they have to go back and reread every time - really not my problem, is it!

That's so rude. Of all people, I know what it's like to have to re-read chapters - totally my own fault of course. But usually it just takes a skim of a chapter or two to jog my memory and get caught up - and I have a terrible memory!

I did yell at someone once in my next A/N, "AND ANOTHER THING FRANCINE BOBO STOP REVIEWING MY FICS."

It worked for two chapters.

The weird thing is she always says she liked the chapter, it's just that I've had the audacity to make her wait for it!

I literally do not even care about calling them out at this point, they have been reviewing for years, they know how to make an account, they don't so we can't reply to their reviews.

I might care (a little) if they were criticising the story, but I definitely don't care that I'm not dedicating every spare minute of every day to keeping her entertained!

I got a lovely comment today from AO3 for one of our Waige collaborations. In particular the person mentioned that reading the fic was "something of a balm". It always amazes me how fanfic can affect people's lives - and how they use it almost like therapy, even though I do the same thing myself. It's just humbling to think that someone feels that way about something I've written.

I got a review too, and just deleted the email notification because I have major anxiety about old fics getting reviewed. Now I almost want to go see what they said.

I love getting reviews on older fics. It does give me a warm fuzzy feeling to know someone has been searching for something to read and been attracted to one of mine.

Sometimes it even prompts me to reread it myself because I've written so many (and I'm getting old ) I can't always remember which one is which just from the title!

Anyway, I actually posted another chapter today so that should keep someone happy for a while.
